Jon Clokie

Jon Clokie

Jon Clokie is Director of Landscape Architecture at Omrania by Egis, with over two decades of practice across the Gulf region and a long-standing focus on how landscape thinking shapes the built environment.

Based in Riyadh, Jon has led landscape architecture across a range of significant projects in Saudi Arabia — including work on the historically sensitive terrain of Diriyah and, more recently, on the emerging frameworks of Vision 2030's major development programmes.

His practice is grounded in a belief that landscape should lead urban form rather than decorate it: that the land itself — its ecology, its climate, its botanical inheritance — should be the primary generative force in how cities are made. In practice that means native and regionally adapted planting, landscapes that respond to the logic of arid ecology rather than working against it, and a preference for design that earns its presence through material and environmental honesty. These are not simply aesthetic positions — they reflect a sustained interest in what it might mean to build cities in the Gulf in a way that takes the land seriously as a generative force. That thinking continues through practice and ongoing research and writing on landscape urbanism in the Gulf context.

Hassan Yusuf

Hassan Yusuf

Hassan Yusuf Head of Partnerships, Real Madrid Foundation Educational Football Program at Riyadh Schools

Ask Hassan Yusuf what he does, and he will tell you he turns sport into infrastructure. Ask him how, and you will need a longer coffee.

Born in Columbia, Missouri, Hassan carries the quiet discipline of the Show Me State, a place that prefers proof over rhetoric and evidence over claim. He has carried that standard with him, from Missouri to Riyadh and across the Kingdom.

At Riyadh Schools, alma mater of HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and part of the MISK Foundation, Hassan leads the Real Madrid Foundation Educational Football Program in Saudi Arabia, a social sports initiative pairing football with youth education and community development. He initially served as Head of the Program before transitioning to Head of Partnerships as the program was set to scale across four regions of the Kingdom.

Under his tenure, Hassan led the institutional renewal of the partnership with the Real Madrid Foundation, anchored by the official Saudi visit of Club President Florentino Pérez and Roberto Carlos to Riyadh Schools, and the program's transition into a new commercial framework. In parallel, he negotiated the program's anchor partnership with Saudi Energy Company, securing the largest facility access ever granted to Riyadh Schools.

Within Riyadh Schools, Hassan founded Blancos Riyadh, the school's competitive team in Saudi Arabian Football Federation leagues, opening a feeder pathway for student athletes into the official Federation structure. He also launched the Eco-Friendly League, a football competition uniting local school programs around an educational framework drawn from the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the Saudi Green Initiative, structured around stewardship and conservation, climate leadership, and environmentally responsible sporting events. The initiative earned recognition from the World Football Summit for its contribution to sport and sustainability.

Beyond Riyadh Schools, Hassan jointly led the World Boxing Council nomination of HRH Princess Nouf bint Mohammed Al Saud to three of its committees, the youngest Saudi woman to serve in the body's international governance. He is regularly engaged by the Saudi Ministry of Investment on the Kingdom's sports sector, contributing to sector roundtables and speaking at Ministry conferences that convene international investors and sovereign delegations. In December 2025, he addressed the inaugural Beyond Profit International Forum in Riyadh, held under the patronage of HE Ahmed Al-Rajhi, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development.
