Nadine Bitar
Dr. Nadine Bitar Chahine_ MENA native woman leader in sustainable urban development and global voice of WANA Cities. As Managing Director of Baladiya Catalyst, she leads integrated policy, spatial and finance strategies advancing place-led, climate-resilient, and nature-positive cities and communities across the WANA region.
She has contributed to more than 45 large-scale urban developments and strategies for public and private sector across GCC and beyond , bridging urban and landscape planning, land use systems,urban infrastructure, economic development and public-private partnerships.
Since 2016, Dr. Bitar has held progressive leadership roles within IFLA at local, regional and global levels, serving as Middle East CER Representative, Chair of the IFLA World LINKS Working Group, and Vice President and Secretary General of IFLA Middle East. She has represented IFLA at COP climate conferences, UNCCD COP16, the World Urban Forum, and IUCN Congress delivering keynotes and participating in global policy dialogues.
She currently serves as President of IFLA Middle East and Vice President of the Lebanese Landscape Association. She is registered architect, urban planner and landscape architect with advanced degrees in urban design and public policy and a Doctorate in PPPs for climate resilience.
