tuffbond is used in bound surface pavement construction to provide a permanent adhesion bond strength of ≥2.0 MPa; between the base and bedding mortar and between the paving units and bedding mortar.
It is brush applied as a 2-3 mm thick coat having the consistency of a thick creamy liquid slurry.
