Terraxy is a Saudi-based Ag-tech startup born at KAUST, building soils in the desert that remain fertile for centuries. Inspired by the legendary Amazonian Terra Preta soils, Terraxy developed Carbosoil, a patented technology that transforms biochar, a highly stable and functional form of carbon, into the first and only long-lasting soil amendment proven to work in alkaline desert soils. By locking carbon permanently in the ground while restoring soil fertility, Terraxy is enabling large-scale greening and agriculture in some of the most challenging environments on Earth.
