Gum-tech® produces two complementary systems — Puzzle Mat 3D® and Grass Grid Hexagon® — that share key performance characteristics. Both are made from controlled recycled rubber streams and verified raw materials, resulting in a documented carbon footprint of 624 g CO₂e per kilogram. In addition, both systems contribute to environmental goals through full surface permeability, enabling natural water infiltration and reducing runoff.
The products deliver soft, resilient performance and are tested for playground/calisthenics requirements including fall protection and joint comfort. Puzzle Mat 3D® also provides consistent ball rebound, making it suitable for shared play-and-sport areas. A shared installation advantage is that neither system requires adhesives, ground anchoring, or conventional edging for most applications. Their patented geometries allow them to interlock securely and adapt to uneven or sloped terrain.
