From a fishing village to one of Vietnam’s foremost cities, Danang continues to evolve.

Winner of 1st prize in the public competition, this project reimagines river life and positions Danang as a global city that attracts both local and international talent. Through annual events and competitions, it strengthens the connection with the Han River, transforming it into a dynamic urban asset.

A key strategy is to repurpose the river as a primary access route to major tourist destinations, replacing the current uninviting road that disconnects visitors from the city’s essence. Enhancing existing infrastructure and landmarks boosts land value and investment potential while introducing parks, water playgrounds, social spaces, and employment hubs for all residents.

By reconnecting the city’s inhabitants with the Han River, the project creates a vibrant, memorable waterfront through a network of green streets. It strengthens Danang’s identity by establishing dynamic public spaces that celebrate local culture and community life.

Envisioned as Danang’s "Central Park," the revitalized Han River will serve as both a recreational hub and a natural sanctuary within the city. Additionally, the project establishes a thriving green corridor linking the urban core to Son Tra Peninsula in the east and national forests in the west. By revitalizing the river and its tributaries with accessible, interactive parks, it ensures a sustainable and engaging environment for all.
